Dear Parents & Guardians:

It’s a new school year and the Avon Parent and Teacher Association (APT) is looking forward to another exciting year! We are anxious to begin working together with you to make Avon School a place that your children want to be!

This year we are very pleased to announce that the APT is Going Green!!! Many of our activities and fundraisers will be focused on improving the environment and working to make our community more efficient. Our goal is to help the children of Barrington learn ways they can personally contribute in protecting our environment.

How can you help in making this a successful year??

• By paying your child’s activity fee…

This year we have opted NOT to collect membership fees for the APT; we will only be collecting a $10 activity fee for each child. As a non-profit organization we need to collect activity fees to help offset the cost of several of the activities planned for our children —Classroom Parties, Assemblies, Spirit Week, Fun Day, just to name a few! Please fill out and return the attached form as soon as possible.

• Get involved…

We are always looking for more parents to get involved any way they can, whether it is heading a committee, volunteering for an activity or taking on the role as room parent for your child’s classroom!

All meetings are held at The Avon School in the Art Room on the first Wednesday of the month. Start time is 7:00 p.m. Meetings last no more then one hour!
